CBSAY are a group of young people aged 13 and upwards who meet up at The Salvation Army at Clydebank to talk about topics such as God, the bible and general every day stuff.
We meet every fortnight for Bible Study and every other fortnight for a more relaxed evening called Youth Fellowship which is just us getting together and having some fun.
Our "Youth" members consist of between 15 and 20 young folk aged 13+ and we count ourselves very fortunate to have a great youth leader in Steven.
We can't be certain that our Blog will be updated regularly but we do have a Bebo page as well so feel free to come visit us there @ http://www.bebo.com/CBSAY

Christmas/NewYear

Hi Guys,

I know Christmas and New Year are still a couple of months away, but what do you all think about getting together and doing something. ie. carnival, bowling, theatre, panto. I dunno, just throwing some random ideas.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Steven and I are away for Christmas but we could do something either before or after.

Hey,

just wondering, does anyone remember the Malteaser advert from about 10 years or so ago where a girl walks up the wall in a massive room with lifesize pictures of guys hanging on the walls, pulls one of the guys from his picture and dances with him on the ceiling? I can't find anyone who remembers it apart from myself and my sister!

Also, just to justify asking this, can Mr Colvin find a way to spiritualise on it?

i think its safe to say that everyone will miss mans and im sure ul agree he's been fun to have around!!
Mans, i just wanted to say that u will be missed and i hope you come and see us all very soon and keep us posted on how your getting on at the training college!

Boy, it's been quiet on here for the last we while. I quess a lot of you are preparing for exams or getting your coursework done. When I was at school and I had an exam, the night before, I always read Joshua ch 1 v6-9. God here is telling Jushua that he has great things planned for his life and if he believes and trusts God then he will be successful. It's like that with our exams, if we put the study time in and always remember that God is always at our side, then we will be successful as far as God has planned us to be. I always found this relaxing before I went into an exam. I knew that I had put the work in and I trusted God so the results of my exams would determine where I will be and what I will be doing the next year. This was God's plan for me.
Why don't you give this bible passage a try the night before your exams.

Easter

For those who haven't heard yet, it has been requested that we go out for an Easter Lunch on Sunday after the morning meeting and the popular choice is 'Little Chef'. If you are able to come, that'll be cool, if not, no worries.
What a surprise on Sunday to see Patricia and Stuart. If you are reading this, it's good to see you and welcome to our blog.
To our 2 oversees students; Mans and Owen, have a great Easter break at home.

In the meantime, I have few things for you to think about.

1. As it is Easter, have a read of Mathew ch27 v51, what do you think is significant about the curtain being torn into two?

2. At our next group study, we will be looking at prayer, can you think about creative ways to pray as individuals or as a group so that we can experiment with alternative methods. The more crazy your idea, the better.

3. Just for fun, An Easter Egg as a prize for the person who can make as many words 3 letters or more out of the phrase "Easter Celebration". Closing date being Easter Sunday coffee fellowship.
If you can't be here on Sunday then email me your answers before Saturday.

Not the beginning of time itself . The "Word" is refering to Jesus, this is a prophecy. Thats my understanding of it anyway. Dont quote me.
God has always existed and always will exist.

Gods Got my back!

When me and Gav went to camp there was a guy there who was a bit crazy, he had a bit of a temper and said whatever he thought all the time.
But at the end of it all he would say, "I know I say stupid stuff and that I could get myself into trouble, but hey Gods got my back!".
So even though times get hard for all of us, especially all us folks right now, prayer is the way of letting the big man upstairs handle our problems.

Since noone has done so yet, and it is something that (I think at least) is good to have on the web, I hereby open a post for prayer requests. requests can be more or less specific, as God hears all prayers, but sometimes it might help us to focus if they are more specific.... Anyway.

I'm going to start off by asking if you can joining me in praying for

My dissertation. Even though I've finally started I got a long way to go, and need peace and inspiration from God.
The kids that come to youth club and to kids club in city centre, and that we can share God with them in a good way.
That God will give me patience and guidance in elating to my bestest friend, as I'm at the moment very confused over my feelings from her, and it hurts sometimes. (You don't necessarily have to tell everyone about this even if it is now on the web)
my mother. Rest of the family as well, but especially mom. they're not Christians.

I think that's about it for the moment. And now i hand over to you guys to post your requests.

Future activities

What kind of activities would you like organised as a youth fellowship?
Post your ideas for nights out ( approx 3-4 times a year) and for Sunday youth fellowship (once a month)
If you have a totally original idea, whether you think it is good or not, post it anyhow.
Comment/discuss each others ideas and thrash out some options. Who knows what we will come up with!

As you can see, I have set up our very own 'Blog'. The site is obviously bare just this moment but once we set it up as a 'Team Blog', we will all be able to contribute. It will be a good way to keep in contact during the week or make arrangements such as nights out or youth fellowships.

You may even want to discuss topics that you feel passionate about, or express your concerns. No matter what, this is our space so be creative, connect to links, post photos, or record your voice. I'm not sure yet what all we can do on this site but let's experiment and have a youth e-fellowship.
